Kingston Girls Midget White team took silver in the Midget/Int division at the Central York hockey tournament Nov 25-27. It started off with the team overcoming adversity, playing without a goalie for 2.5 periods. The team was able to keep Belmont Bad Girls to a 2-2 tie until our goalie arrived. Scoring with a minute left gave us the 3-2 win. The team then won their next 2 games to come first in their division and move on to the semi-finals. The team defeated Central York gold and went on to play in the finals against Sudbury Snipers in a very emotional, physical, fast hockey final that was very exciting for all to watch and ended in a 2-1 win for Sudbury. Congratulations girls on an amazing tournament and your Silver medals in a Midget/Int. division!
